Program
GreenKayaks' program for groups of 20-40 people lasts 2-3 hours and includes:
We begin by briefly introducing GreenKayaks' mission of engaging citizens for a cleaner ocean. Next, we cover water safety and all the practical aspects of the trip. The introduction typically takes between 5-10 minutes. Then, we launch the kayaks into the water and embark on the Ocean Cleanup.
The group is divided into two teams
Team 1 - Ocean Cleanup
Team 2 - Land side Cleanup
Halfway through the program, teams switch roles, ensuring everyone participates in both ocean and land cleanups.
During our Ocean Cleanup, we collect debris from the water using grabbers and specially designed paddles. These tools are particularly effective for retrieving trash that is further away from the kayak.
During the Land side Cleanup, we gather trash from the land and use our magnet fishing equipment to pull metal scraps from the bottom of the sea.
After bringing the cleanups, we weigh the collected trash and record it in our system for tracking and documentation—a perfect moment for a group photo.
GreenKayak instructors conclude the session with some facts about ocean litter, and we bid farewell and thank everyone for their participation today.

The Kayaks
Our GreenKayaks, designed for two persons each, offer stability and ease of control, making them ideal even for first-timers. While we've had no capsizes so far, there's a chance of getting wet, so leave your suit at the office and come prepared for a splash. Our certified instructors will warmly welcome you, providing guidance and assistance whenever needed throughout the cleanup.
Locations
We start the GreenKayak Tour at the canal next to Arsenalvej 10, 1436 Copenhagen. Please send an inquiry of you are interested in meeting you at a different location in Copenhagen or cities/countries, additional charges for transport may apply.
Please contact groups@greenkayak.org for tours outside of Copenhagen.
Group Size
Our GreenKayak Tours can accommodate up to 20 people per group. Larger groups will be split into smaller teams. For larger groups, we can organize a cleaning activity from the land side before swapping roles with the kayaking team.
Equipment
We provide all the necessary equipment for your kayaking adventure. Just bring your sportswear and a towel. In colder weather, we offer complimentary wetsuits and wind-proof jackets to keep you warm.

Price: 549 DKK per person (excluding VAT). Please note: the minimum fee is 5490 DKK (excluding VAT), even for groups smaller than 10 persons.
For your safety and enjoyment, all groups must be accompanied by trained kayak instructors. Please note that group tours are not free of charge, as we prioritize safety and ensuring a great experience for everyone.
